Surprisingly enough, I didn't think we sounded too much like idiots!! On my computer the sound was a little squiggly, I don't know if it was just my computer or if it came out that way. Anyway, fun times!

- Kim Strother and Annie Hatke
- Kim Strother stands 3 inches taller than Annie Hatke (5'1) and together they make a relatively small folk duo. Each playing guitar, banjo and mandolin, Kim throws in more talents besides and the two Lafayette dwellers take on the stage playing a wide variety of folk tunes. We can't say "folk favorites" because many of the songs they play are unheard of. However, they do touch on the works of songwriting greats such as Paul Simon, Townes Van Zandt, Bob Dylan, and Tom T. Hall. They draw their influences from those listed above as well as musicians like Patty Griffin, Greg Brown, Kate Rusby, Nanci Griffith, and many, many more. Always learning new songs while writing some of their own on the side, the shows of Kim and Annie are always changing (as slowly as that happens) and with special guests appearing from time to time (such as The Woodstove Flapjacks' Matt Scherger and The Pink Slips' Ian Thompson) their shows often keep their audience (and themselves) guessing as to what will happen next.

Isn't this funny? We're commenting to each other on our own shared blog. I got your message about the soup and bread concert... I think I should play it safe and pass on it. Even if the baby isn't here yet, I'll probably be too huge to fit through my doorway. So I should probably not plan any out-of-house activities for that time.
